Behaviour:
wAll students are expected to behave in a responsible, considerate, RESPECTFUL manner when dealing with their peers or their classroom or substitute teacher.
wStudents are asked to raise their hand to ask or answer questions, as it is rude to interrupt others while they are speaking. Also, there is NO TALKING while the announcements are on!!
wNo food, drinks (exception: water bottles) or hats are permitted. Walkmans and similar electronic devices will be confiscated for your parents to pick up at the office after school.
Late:
wStudents are expected to arrive to class on time. Arriving late is rude and wastes time.
wIf the door is shut, fill out a late slip and wait quietly. At a convenient time you will be allowed into the classroom and will be able to explain your reasons for being late. All unexcused lates will result in a detention.
Absence:
wBring a note that I can keep. It must be signed and dated by a parent/guardian and have a phone number that I can reach them at. The note must explain your absence.
wTruancy (skipping) will result in a 60-minute detention, phone call home, referral to office and a mark of zero for all assignments/labs/tests/quizzes given and/or due on that day.
wYou must hand in all assignments due while you were away on the day of your return. Set up a contact with another student in the class to find out what you have missed while away.
wPlease be prepared to complete any missed items at lunch or after school on the day that you return. Marks will be deducted for lateness if these procedures are not followed.
